Question:
I am interested in FUE hair transplantation surgery. Is this the only type of hair transplant that you do? What are the odds of success of the surgery?

Answer:
I perform two main types of hair transplantation surgery.

Follicular Unit Excision (FUE), is the first type and requires individual excisions of the follicular units from the donor area.

The second procedure I perform for hair transplantation surgery is follicular unit transplantation (FUT). During this type of procedure a donor strip is removed, sutures used to close the donor wound and the strip is dissected into individual grafts that are then placed into the recipient area.

The odds of success during either the FUE or FUT type of procedures are very high and generally thought to be somewhere between 90% and 98% successful.
