Party with a Purpose – Boca Raton Cosmetic Surgeon Raising Funds for Local Children’s Center
Boca Raton, Fla., October 2, 2019 — A local Cosmetic Surgeon is getting in to the holiday spirit early this year by hosting a fundraiser for a local children’s charity as preparations for Thanksgiving, Hanukkah and Christmas get underway.
Dr. Glenn Charles from the Charles Medical Group in Boca Raton is hosting his ‘Second Smokin’ Hair Happy Hour’ on October 10th at the New York Prime Steakhouse, 2350 NW Executive Center Dr, Boca Raton, to raise much needed funds for the Broward Children’s Center – it truly is going to be a party with a purpose.
A $25 donation to the Broward Children’s Center offers all who attend a complimentary Codigo 1530 Tequila cocktail, a spread of food by New York Prime Steakhouse, entry into the Door Prize Raffle as well as an opportunity to meet and greet several professional athletes, including fighters from the UFC and Bellator MMA. The raffle includes a grand Prize of a Hair Restoration Procedure valued at up to $10,000 and other fantastic items from spa baskets to brewery tours to gift cards. In total, the raffle prizes alone are valued at over $14,000 – all donated by the local community. The first fifty guests to register will also receive a complimentary gift bag sponsored by Casa de Montecristo by Prime Cigar and VOSS Water.
“Having been involved with BCC for three years now, we felt it time to host another event that would make a big impact for these kids and this fantastic facility,” said Dr. Charles. “What started as a fundraiser three years ago turned into monthly trips to visit the kids. Seeing firsthand the resilience of the children, the dedication of the staff and the work that goes on daily was our push to host our second event to raise funds for this excellent resource in our community.”
Myrna Miott, Broward Children’s Center Director of Marketing and Development, said: “We are so grateful to Charles Medical Group, the local businesses who have donated and athletes they have rounded up. When our kids feel the love and strength of these warrior supporters in our community, it gives them the courage to keep on going.
The timing for this couldn’t be better as we prepare for Miles for Smiles 2019 Walk with Courage held on November 2. We hope to carry the energy of the evening forward into the upcoming walkathon event.”
100% of the registration fee will be donated directly to the Broward Children’s Center who provides medical, developmental and therapeutic services for children and young adults challenged with disabilities.
